Overview

A self-paced foundation in inclusive practice for education and the workplace. The module is built on the social model of disability - we focus on removing barriers in tasks, environments and systems, and on a strengths-based approach that helps people support individuals with confidence and respect.

Use it as a standalone course or add it as a module to any Tau XL course (e.g. AT Awareness in Education or Workplace) to connect needs with practical strategies and reasonable adjustments.

What you'll Learn

  • Use respectful, strengths-based language and avoid common pitfalls.
  • Understand UK prevalence and how different conditions affect tasks and environments.
  • Make realistic adjustments for SpLDs, ASC/ADHD, mental health and physical & sensory disabilities.
  • Know when to signpost or escalate, and how to record next steps.
